What is the best way/product to remove undercoating from my wheel wells prior to painting? Thanks, Scott graemlins/beers.gif

A wire wheel cup on a grinder is about the fastest. If you are going to go that route buy the cup with the twisted wire bristles fingers they cost more than the straight wire cup but they last about 10 times longer.

I tried them all , the best I found was a propane torch and a scraper. You need to be careful and not let it get on you, cause it hurts like the dickens.Does work good though.

Heat gun and putty knife. Get the temp just right and it comes off like butter. To hot and it smears.

Since the wheel wells are not very flat a torch and a wooden handle wire brush will work great
A plastic handle melts.
(don't ask me how I know)

Yup, heat with a propane torch or heat gun and a scraper and hand held wire brush work well. Follow that up with good saturation of wax and grease remover or laquer thinner and the remaining undercoat should wipe right off.

Another vote for the propane bomb and a scraper. I've done both Chevelles and I had my cousin do his Cuda this way, yeah it sucks and it's messy, but it works. Just watch out for hot falling rubber, it kinda burns.
