Hi Team

I am putting a cam and intake in my 302 Mustang and I have the highrise performer 289 dual plane intake for it. Edelbrock has a matching cam for the performer intakes but I am considering using the bigger cam, the performer RPM cam; designed for the perf RPM intakes. Would I have significant gains if I use the "performer RPM" cam instead even though I am not using a RPM intake?

Thanks alot!

I wouldn't even consider installing an RPM cam in anything that's less than 10 to 1 CR. b/c it needs it, imho..

Depending on your CR., a good old CC 268HE may be just what you need is all??

If it's a stock 302 i would not use the rpm cam.....

I have built a few near stock 302's with cams matching the performer numbers and they work very good.... That is the cam i would use in your application...
