I just went and looked at a car, that I have a chance to buy, and now I'm confused about the year. It's registered as a 1964 Chevelle, but, the guy that owns it now showed me the orginal paper work showing 1963-64 on 2 different papers, one being a certificate. Is it possible that the car is actually a 1963 1/2? And if so...what would the value of the car be if it has all the orginal parts with it...but it needs a rear quarter, and complete interior set except the seats which just need to be fixed. The car is showing a orginal 49k miles...and the rear seat is still in the factory bubble wrap. Any information anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

production for the 64 model year started in augest of 1963. so your car could have been built in 1963, but it was for the 1964 model year. bottom line is there is no 63 1/2. only a 64

based on what i said in the post before...what would be a good price to pay for the car...i forgot to mention before that it has a 283 in it also. any ideas on how much you or that they would go for?

there is not enough info in your post to give an accurate value. we need the cowl tag info, list of options on the car now, what the over all condition of the body, paint, interior, and drive line. and a couple pictures of the car would aslo help
