I plan on replacing my valve springs on my Stang with the heads and block still in the car. Which valve spring compressor is the best to use? I was looking at the smaller one with the turning wheel that sits on the top but don't know if I should use the high leverage one.

That's what I've been using to remove my springs. Works fine and lets you use two hands to grab the keepers.

I just noticed that HF has the valve spring tool on sale now for $6.99.

The screw type tool is good for single valve springs, but on a double spring setup it only compresses the outer spring.

The lever tool works good when you have a double spring setup. I have had no problem using this with quite heavy springs.

Go with the lever style, you won't regret it. Just got through using mine for the first time changing out the springs on an assembled engine and it made things soooo much easier than the screw type I used before.

Is this an old stud rocker stang or a new pedestal mount? The leverage spring tool is hard to use without a stud to put it on. Those bolts are little too. I have both tools and used the threaded style on my 87 Mustang, but use the lever on my Chevies.
