My hood springs are a little weak and ordered
1 from original parts group...it's to short
and not enough coils.I have a CI hood it is a
little heavier than non CI hoods,they say this is a replacement spring.GM doesn't sell
the heavy spring. al

Here is the GM part# for the correct springs for an SS hood and cowl induction:
3848272, call a local GM dealer and see if it's still available.
they also fit 70-72 Monte Carlo.
