Hey guys,
I want to put some late model pickup seats in a 65 El Camino. I like the ones with the built in shoulder belts and the center console that acts as a third seat.
Anyone ever done this before?
What cars/ trucks should I look for?

I researched this exact subject when I was looking to replace my stock bench seat. I could never find any with the correct width to fit in my 65. I also like the integrated seatbelts they had, but no luck since I couldn't find a seat to fit.
I did end up using a 82 El Camino bench seat with split backs and a fold down armrest in the center. It was too narrow, so I widened it by 4". I also used the shoulder belt setup from the same donor Elky. The seat and belt setup fit great but it required a custom installation and the above mods. Also, I had to have custom seat upholstery stitched since the stock 82 cover was no good after the widening mod.
Here is a picture of my interior.

Thanks for the info.
Did you find that the late model seats were too wide?
If they are too narrow, I might be able to take the same approach you did with the 82.

Yes, too wide. Otherwise I would have used them and spread them apart. Also, the cost just got to high to justify using them.
