Hey all, ive got a 350 that is topped with an edelbrock carb with a manual choke that is not hooked up... I see they have kits for electric chokes, what do i have to do to switch it over? Pretty easy?

The electric choke itself is a pretty easy change. You need to find a 12v switched power source (one that only provides power only with the ignition on). Edelbrock (and AFB) carbs are wider than other carbs and adding an electric choke makes them even wider. Result is that many stock and after-market aircleaners won't fit.

Edelbrock sells a choke upgrade kit. You have to replace the actuating cross shaft with one from the kit. You have to pull out a plug on the carb to open up the vacuum port. Bolt on the rest and wire it up.

As mentioned it can cause interference with many dropped base air filters.
