has anyone fitted the following shifter into the 68-72 console? does anyone have the demensions of the top plate. i really like the look of the shifter but wonder if it would be worth the trouble. thanks mike

 I installed the Hurst Dual Gate II into the factory console in my '69 Chevelle. The D/G II was a generic version of the D/G and came with its own mini-console. I sliced the top portion off of the mini-console and mated it to the factory console’s top plate. I think it came out very nice. My Chevelle is in the final stages of a resto, but if anyone wants photos I can e-mail them when I get my Chevelle out of the shop.
