Top quality stuff. I can't understand why someone had a problem with the quality. What was the beef with H O K paints? You do have to be an experienced painter to shoot SOME of their stuff, but overall no different than any other paint system on the market. They are known to have the best custom colors, while other paint manufacturers specialize in mostly automotive factory colors. PPG is relatively new to the custom paint market but their products are excellent as well.

A++ all the way, never had a car painted with Jon Kosmoski's hok paint but myself and my buddies have had our harleys painted with his system for years. lots of work primer, base, tint, seal, color, clear well you get the picture.
I have seen only one car painted with his system a '70 vette with so much depth you could walk right through it.

I have heard multiple issues.. Something about they're paint/clear.. They aren't as UV resistant and tend fade rapidly (or faster then others) some adhesion issues, and the paint difficulty.. However, I've also heard good reviews. Since mine isn't a true SS I am going a bit different with the colors on a standard scheme. Black Base and the Lime-Gold Shimrin Kandy (Green to bronze "Flip" for the stripes and engine compartment. If any of you guy's/gal's know of a chemical "Dipper" or real good Media Blaster in the NJ area let me know.. I'm getting some OK prices but I like to shop around. I'll be doing some of the paint, and most of the body work myself to save $$ and If The engine compartment comes out as I expect, I'm going to search for a shop that will let me use they're booth to paint.. SO any tips would be appreciated.. and yes I am reading the forums from top to bottom.. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
