I know this question is asked a lot but i'm wondering how much an unrestored LS6 car is worth. All i know about this car is it was bought new in Oregon when my mom and dad were in high school. My mom was friends with the owners sister so she saw the car once in a while. She tells me it was red with black interior and a black vinyl top with black ss stripes. My dad tells me this car is a 454 4 speed car. Well this car was sold from the original owner to another person in high school then that guy sold it to the current owner. The guy who owns it know has it in his garage unrestored. (my dads friend just did electrical work at his house and he saw the car in the garage). Assuming the car still has the original motor and transmission and has just and some surface rust with the original interior. What shoud i (parents) offer for this car. Im assuming this guy knows the value of his car since he garage kept it for so many years. My dad will hopefully see him at the next high school reunion and we can go look at it for fun.

Thanks for the input.

Ill hopefully post some pics this summer if i can even look at the car.

Doesn't matter you can still use it as a guide and adjust accordingly.

You don't have q $60,000.00 on your poll

$50,000 to $60,000 depending on condition and documentation. We will need a better description, some pictures, mileage, verification that it has it's original drivetrain and hopefully a buildsheet. Your poll prices are way too low if it's the real deal.

You say that dad's friend saw it in this guy's garage, how do you know it's for sale? Even if it is, all I can say is BIG MONEY, with the current trend; hell a rusted out hulk brought 22k about 3 mos ago. Good luck. JN

I don't think your poll is even in the ballpark.

When 136679ss says rusted out hulk brought 22K, the car he's referring to was basically nothing much left but vin number and trip plate and NO drivetrain. I think the green car in the link above is gonna go MUCH higher than the current 27K bid. Many serious E Bayers place ONE BID in the last few seconds.

So here's what I think of the offers above based on the assumption that the car is nicer than the green one:

10000, may get you shot
15000, may draw a sucker punch to the abdomen
20000, may only get you thrown off the property
30000, may get you laughed at, or only mean you don't get a serious shot at buyin' the car

Seriously though, you say your dad says it's a 454/4 sp car. Do you even know for sure it's an LS6?

I vote for "E - All of the above". As in, add those first four numbers together...

Hey Dean,I like the old STP sticker on the Inner Fender, And the old Stewwart Warner electric fuel pump in the trunk. I had the same pump in my 70 SS Cool stuff. It will probably show up at Barrett Jackson in two years, and go for $175,000.00 L.O.L.:D
