i just noticed something tonite after a afternnon drive in my 67 ss 396 which ran great and ran about 185 to 190 degrees here in south texas i noticed when in killed the engine the temp guage went from 185 to a little over 200 of course it came down after it started cooling is it normal for the temp to jump like that or do i have a problem thanks guys

The engine temp is going to go up a little before it goes back down when you first stop and shut the car off. Nothing to worry about.
