I'm not exactly sure how to explain this....but i'll do my best. I have a 71' malibu, and the chrome & rubber piece that goes between the windows has come off. (The piece that goes on the edge of the rear window) I think it's because it's not lined up quite right. Can anyone give me any advice on how to line this piece up(or does the window need to be realligned?), and what to reattach the piece to the window with? Right now it's just being held on by clear tape, which looks bad, and i'm not opening the rear window.

Any advice would be apprecaited. Thanks for the help in advance. smile.gif

I think there is some black tar looking stuff that held those on.

Butyl tape. Available at any glass shop. Comes in several thicknesses. Get a thickness that is real snug, use mineral spirits for lubricant, trm with a razor blade. Yes, you may have to align rear or front window, or both
