Does anybody know where I can buy new GM or Repro. Tail Light Lens for a 68 Chevelle.. I have a friend who is having trouble finding them????? Thanks in advance...

lavdog Jul 23rd, 02, 7:54 PM i just looked through 4 repro mags, they all skipped right over 1968, weird. Original parts group had bezels but no lenses. Good luck! i'll look at one more source tonight. jl JWA Jul 24th, 02, 4:13 AM They are pretty hard to find new. However used they can be found for decent prices. If the ones he has are not cracked there is a quick way to make them appear new. Take some 0000 steel wool and buff them. Then clean them thuroughly. Then hit them with a coat of clear. Makes the lense look brand new. If he can't do that try ebay. They show up there off and on and sometimes the prices are decent. Nobody repops them as far as I know yet. I have a used pair that are pretty good and one new one..Im not sure which side its for I'd have to check.. You wont find 68's in the catalogue. Unfortunatly alot of 68 parts aren't reproduced. I need a backup lens for mine. Not reproduced either.
