Im not sure what the correct terminology is for the metal where the pedals are. It is not the floor pan but the vertical piece that is visible inside your car. I was doing some minoe work and found out that this metal on my 69 chevelle is very fragile. I want to replace it as soon as possible. Where can i get a piece fo this spot? Or do i have to fabricate a piece? Also is this a very expensive or inexpensive operation? thank you

Most aftermarket places (Year one/Ground Up) should supply this panel.. I remember seeing it in the catalogs. I think it's something like the "Firewall Kick Panel" but not 100% sure of the name.. But they describe it just the way you did.. I don't remember the cost, so it must not have been rediculously priced cause I would have remembered that! Good Luck

Your are right--that thing is fragile. I think that it is not metal, but plastic. I have found them in salvage yards for cheap money. It comes out with 2 screws.
