The wagon currently has a 3 speed on the column and i'd like to change it over to a floorshift. I found a 65 Buick steering column with floorshift so there's no lever but now I need to mount my shifter on the floor. Is there anywhere I can get this in a pacakge deal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check any of the suppliers like Year One or Ground Up. They have complete console kits, at least for the 69, so give em a shout.

You should only need the shifter, linkage and boot. You have the pedals and z-bar ect. right?

Yes the pedal and Z bar is still in place.

You could spend a lot of money buying a correct looking reproduction Muncie shifter but it probably won't work all that well. Spend just a little more money and get a Hurst Competition/Plus shifter. If the shifter kit doesn't include a floor boot I'm sure they can sell you a matching shifter boot/bezel kit that will work with the shifter you buy. The Hurst Comp/Plus is one of the best all around shifters, I can almost guarantee you'll like it. You may also be able to pick up a good used one at a swap meet or on ebay, but with new you know exactly what you are getting.
You will also need to cut a hole in the floor to mount the shifter. Many vendors sell the 4-speed shifter hump which replicates how the factory did it: a large hole was cut in the floor and the shifter hump covered up much of the hole but provided a raised area to cover and clear the shifter mechanism. However, if you install a Hurst you'll have to trim the hole in the shifter hump anyway, so I suggest you just cut a hole in the floor just big enough and in the right place to accomodate the new Hurst (if that's the route you go).

I was going to buy one of those shifter humps tomorrow. Since you sound so well versed on this subject do you think you could get me a part number for what I will need for my 3 speed conversion. Thanks in advance.

A part number for the shifter? Are you retaining the 3-speed or changing to a 4-speed? If you are retaining the 3-speed is it a Saginaw with a 7-bolt side cover?

I'm keeping the 3 speed. Thanks again.
