First about me: I don't have a Chevelle, nor do I plan to own one in the next 12 months, although my 5 year plan includes the purchase and restoration of a convertible for Sunday driving. My father in law however has a '69 SS coupe, a 69 Malibu Convertible, and a 70 El Camino, all in the early stages of restoration. Of the three, the only undrivable one is the vert.
We have purchased various and sundry Christmas and birthday presents for him, all which have sat in their respective boxes to this day. Last year I hit upon the idea of buying him a set of flowmasters and echo tips for his Coupe. He promptly headed to the muffler shop to get them installed. He wasn't overly enthused about their choices of echo tips, so he left them off in favor of purchasing a reproduction tip later on down the road. Now comes my question:
I found the following tips on Year One's website (*Edit, I can't get the link to work, but if you go to www.yearone.com and put in part number JY69, it'll pop up)
Is this the correct repro echo tip for a '69 Chevelle? He's kinda picky and if it's not right, he'll thank us for the gift and it'll get shoved into the corner of his shop. Thanks in advance for your help.
