I consideing different colors for my chevelle. I like the GM white with a basecoat/clear coat. I like the basecoat/clearcoat because of the paint protection and from what I know it is durable. Also it is easy to wax and detail. Now I don't know alot about paint, but I also like the candy and pearl looks. What effects do these paints give? graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Aaron, I'm confused at your question - if you have seen and liked the candy and pearl paints then you already know what effects these paints give.

If you are asking HOW they do it, that is a different question. Pearl has a tinted top coat instead of clear, candy paint uses a gold or silver base to add depth and shine. The real painters here could probably explain it all better than I can.
