I just got my car out of winter storage. It is a 1969 Chevlle SS 396 BB. It needed to be jumped and only took a couple of minutes to get it running right but the electrical is sorta screwy.

The knob for the headlights and interior lamp feels like its not getting a good connection. As I turn it clock-wise the lights will flicker and it is hard to get it in the headlight position. Also, my right blinker works, the left stays on, the right tailight doesn't work, and reverse light not workin.

Do you think this is all in bad wiring and such? Is there a wiring kit for it on the market? How much? Any other fixes you could think of?

Thanks!

Cant help with the turn signals . I fixed my headlight switch by giving it a good cleaning with DeoxIT. Works just like new now. No sticking etc.

Does the signal indicator lamp stay lit? Sounds like you have a signal lamp out. If one of them is out they will stay on like that on the one side.

The left blinker will stay on but I'm almost positive that all the lights are good...

check all your bulbs. the turn signal bulbs are double filament and if the turn signal filament is bad and the other is good your tail lights will work but the turn signal will not.

I thought I had all the lights and blinkers working but then I turned on my headlights. The headlights work and everything, but when they are on the left turn signal wont work but the right does. Man this screwy wiring is making my head spin.

Any suggestions would help.
