Hey guys,

Seems like the more things I add to my car the more I'm running into a problem that keeps getting messier. Problem one is I have a lot of wires going to the positive leed of the battery (mostly hot leads to relays) I need some sort of splitter where that I can hide that runs like a 8ga wire to a box that splits off to about 7 different wires that range from 10-14 gauge a little expandability for more accessories (like the electric fans in the cars very near future) would be nice.

Problem 2 is under the dash, It seems like I have a lot of wires running to the IGN terminal on my fuse box, again mainly relays, how can I do this more efficiently. I know these problems probably have easy fixes but if you could point this wiring dummy in the right direction it would be appreciated

Thanks for the help

Painless has a nice little auxillary fuse block that they sell. Up to seven fused circuits. http://www.painlessperformance.com/webcatalog.php Look under fuse blocks. You could also do it with a double row terminal block and just power all hots on one side. Ron Francis has a nice little aux power block for higher amp devices.http://www.wire-works.com/accessories.php They call it a power junction block. Hope this helps.

My solution to this type of problem up under the hood is to graft in a power distribution box from a late model Ford (Taurus and Explorer in particular). One box with more 30A+ Maxi fuses than you could ever want, a mega 175A master fuse for the alternator power feed, a number of regular bladed fuses, 3 regular/large Bosch relays, 3 micro Bosch relays.

I went to an internal regulator alternator and removed the regulator from the core support. With a custom mounting bracket, this became a fairly decent location for the power distribution box. It looks like it belongs there. Only downside is the length of the power feed wire from the battery and that this wire is unprotected. At some point I should put in another Mega fuse next to the battery so that it is all protected.

In general though you can find 4 circuit fuse blocks with a common power supply for adding on circuits. Painless makes the "Cirkit" series, some of which have relays to control power supply. This is good to offload the actual ignition circuit of the power to drive the add-on stuff.
