Hey guys...
I am planning on geting the sheet metal to do the trunk over Christmas. NPD has the R and L sides with the body brace attached, Goodmark is listed as a separate piece. If this is the case, how do you attach the darn thing without a spot welder? And, how do you make sure it is in the RIGHT spot????

Man, I wish I would have went to Arizona and bought a car instead of buying one in Michigan....rust sucks....

You would need to mock it all up to get everything in place. Then drill holes and plug weld the floor to the braces. I think i would go with the floor that has the braces attached. The floors i bought from NPD were bare metal and made in USA and were nice and heavy.Goodmark is black EP coated and made in Taiwan.

Thanks 70is fine....I am going ot NPD today or tomorrow and get a set. I think it will be easier withthe braces attached. One less thing to worry about.

Mike,
Don't forget trunk extensions. These are stamped panels that run from the trunk floor to the lower quarters. Once you get the floor out you will find out the extensions are gone (rusted out). Pick them up when you get the trunk floor parts. if you don't need them you can always send them back.

I prefer the 2 piece trunk floor. A kit from NPD includes the 2 piece floor and braces. The brace can be welded in and the floor pieces can be set on top of the brace. Mark the bottom of the floor where the floor lays on the brace, along both sides of the brace. Drill 1/4 inch holes in the floor for plug welds to the brace.
