I have a console from my 66 chevelle that has been painted several times. How can I remove the paint withouot damaging the plastic or original texture? (Is there a stripper I can use?)
Thanks

My dash was the same way, someone did a very bad job of painting it.I was told to try easy off oven cleaner and that model car guys also use it,I was a little worried about trying it so I tried it in a hidden spot first to make sure it doesn't hurt the plastic and it worked great.I did small sections at a time, sprayed it on and left it on for only a short time and used a soft nylon bristle brush to get the paint out of the detail then I rinsed it off with water and repeated this process until I got all the paint off. After I was finished I washed it again with soap and water. Before you repaint it you might want to apply this stuff called sand free or any other plastic prep that sold in spray cans.
