Hi guys,

one question.....is a 3" drop in the front possible on my 69 Chevelle Malibu???

The car sits to high in the front in my opinion......I measured and considering the new wheels/tires I would have to drop it 3" in the front to get the desired "front end lower" look.

Here are some facts:

Suspension and disc brakes stock. 7" rims with stock backspacing (SS wheel kit from OPGI) with 245/60-15 tires. Doughs full lenght headers.

Will I get in trouble when I lower it via springs??? My biggest fear is, that the tires will hit something when turning or will rub somewhere.

Has anybody done a 3" drop?.......the coil springs for that are available, I just need some advice, thoughts or suggestions!!!

Every little help is appreciated!!!

I don't think it is a problem. I am not sure how much I dropped my car, but the tires are tucked under the fender about an inch or so, with 255/45/17's.

Is a 3" drop on a 69 Chevelle possible. Yes,my car is at least that much lower at its present ride height and can go even lower easily.
Can your 69 be dropped 3"? Good question. Ask a couple of your 200+ lb friends to sit on the front end and measure the drop. If your tires aren't touching the inner fenders, you will probably be alright. Those tall front tires might limit the drop, though.
