I've been reading and i have a 1 1/8" master and was thinking of going to a smaller master because my brakes are really hard. What vehical had a smaller bore master for pwr front discs and rear drums?

thanks,

1969 Fleetwood again.
1" bore, disc/drum, short rod, listed for power brakes. Available from chain stores. I have one. It was a manual brake DC coded Corvette manual brake casting which they rebuilt for the Fleetwood with the shallow piston for the short pushrod.

1970 Camaro w/ manual disc/drum also takes the short pushrod and has a 1" bore. The first master they gave me was original casting of one of these, but it was missing a cap clip, so I sent it back.

The manual brake Corvette 1" bore will work if you need the deep hole for a long pushrod. Master cylinders and brake systems dont much care if they are manual or power brake, only are concerned with pushrod length.

What yr corvette master? When did they start going with 4wheel disc brakes seeing that one wouldn't work.

thanks guys for the help.

Yes it will work with disc/drum.
It has a deep hole for the long pushrod. You should still verify pushrod fitment. The manual brake Corvette master has a 1" bore and will work in power brake disc/disc or disc/drum applications which have the long pushrod.
The power brake master listed for those Corvettes is also listed for Chevelles, Camaros, and some others with disc/drum. If you think you need a residual valve to the rear drums, add one.

A smaller bore master will not make up for other problems causing a hard pedal.

Thanks for the help. I know i'm running low on vac but with the old drum brakes had the 1" bore and the pedel was alittle softer.
