started up the engine with no problem, great spark i then pulled the positive cable off the battery to make sure the alternator was working and before i shut off the engine to reattach the pos cable it slid across the battery and arched to the positive post the engine shut down and would not restart. I checked the spark again and there was nothing. I suspect it blew the internal fuse via a voltage spike,Any thoughts.
Why don't they make those fuses accessable. Thanks

What kind of MSD, ready to run dis, 6al box ect... You should never pull the pos cable with the car running, it can blow the diodes in the alternator and damage other stuff. If you need to check the charging system just check the voltage at the battery with the car running, 14-14.5 its charging good. 12.5 or less, its not charging at all. First check to see if you have 12 volts going to your IGN system. Have you lost power anywhere else?

This includes the small red? You can test the 6al yourself to see if its at fault
