I just bought a lock plate puller so I can repair the cancel cam but the tool pops of the steering column. The tool is made to screw on to a 9/16 bolt and I have measured mine to be a 1/2 screw.

I have check with most of the local auto stores and they say this 9/16-18 should fit. Does any body know where I can find the correct tool?

The tool I have is a complete kit that has several different thread sizes for different vehicles. I am prttty sure I got it at Advance or maybe Carquest. Cant remember for sure. Was not real expensive, maybe $30 or so.

Do you know the tool brand name and part number??? It would be a great help.
