I'd like to drop my '69 but I'm not sure how much would be safe for a daily driver. I have almost 2 inches from the front fender to the top of the front tire. Suggestions?

Drop the front until the top of the tires starts tucking under the front fender...

you're pretty close...if you are going to cut the springs, cut one full coil off. it'll give you 2 - 3"

don't use a torch - use a cutoff wheel on a die-grinder. works well

heat from a torch will cause them to collapse after some time.
