I would like to replace my SS emblems, I tried doing it by un bolting the wheel well - still couldn't get my hand in there. I am trying to avoid removing the wheel well completely.

Is there a way to remove these emblems without removing the wheel well?

I have the push in clips on the emblems without the nuts.

Thks

Rich

Rich you will have to take off the inner fender and even then it's a pretty tight fit.

On my 71, I had to unbolt most of the inner fender, and the lower fender to body bolts, then slide it out. It was still tight on the pass side but do-able and the driver side wasn't bad. But I also had the engine/trans out and could do it from inside the compartment. If you cant get into the compartment, you will need to take more of the inner fender bolts out and find a skinny kid with long arms http://www.chevelles.com/forum/eek.gif

I just put mine one my 70 the other day and I had to have the fender wells out of the car to do it, and as was already said, it was still a tight fit. Tighter on the passenger side. It just took a lot of patience and I'm still somehwat young and my hands aren't real big yet. Good luck.
