I thought we should have a sticky post for folks to let other folks know if they are going and to help hook up some caravans. Please only post if you plan to attend the event.

I'll be there.
A crew will be coming up I-65 from Alabama. Not sure if I will be up there Wednesday or Thursday.

Rachael, sorry to hear that you won't be attending. You can drop-ship the brownies to me and I"ll carry them up and pass them out. I would promise to make some to keep the ritual alive, but I'd probably forget.

We might be taking a slightly different route than you, because we'll coming
down from the west side of the state. I'll be pulling a 24' enclosed trailer that has "RENT ME" in big bold letters on the side.

Didn't want you to think that you were the only one from Mi. going.Lol.

Tom,
My son and I are coming in on Tue (that's the plan anyway) night, so we will be there Wed. Also, there is going to be 2-3 different caravans arriving Wed afternoon. Also, that is why I'm no longer cooking burgers and dogs every night, so that I can do some things with other folks. In the past, the cooking kept me tied to the motel parking lot every night, so I couldn't go around and visit and go places. I'm only cooking Fri night this year.

Leaving Milwaukee WI Wednesday at 5am, 94 south to I-294 tollway, east on I-80 & south on I-65.

Jim

Be aware that the I-80 stretch between Chicago and I-65 is a total construction nightmare. You may add two hours to normal rush hour times depending on when you hit it. Jamb up begins about 6 am to 11 am and then again about 1 pm to about 7 pm. Off hour time are slow but steady. Not many alternatives unless you avoid this area completely as the feeder roads are also jambed by people trying to find a way out of the hell. No shoulder to stop for break downs for miles! A gazillion trucks and 10 foot wide lanes.

Take this from personal experience 2 weeks ago - and the project has 2 more years to go.

Exactly the reason I am leaving from a little farther north in Wisconsin tuesday 7:00 pm, to avoid that construction area. I am driving my 92 camaro instead of the chevelle, but even that I worry about sitting too long in traffic and heating up. I figure leaving later tuesday night and I will avoid the major back-up in that area.

My Dad and I are leaving on Wednesday at around 6:00am from North Ridgeville, OH (Just West of Cleveland). This will be our fourth CB in a row. Hope to see everyone there.

Our route: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=44039%20to%2037072&btnG=Google+Search&sa=N&tab=wl

We tend to take it slow and easy (Gas ain't a quarter anymore) so we'll probably be pulling in to the ol' Holiday Inn/Baymont around 4-5pm.
