Last Friday Ilogged on to the Original Parts Group website; my intention was to purchase a pair of vent window rubber surrounds and a hood insulation kit.
I was completing the order form when I suddenly was greeted by the announcement that Shipping & Handling would be $22.70. I sent an e-mail instead, telling them that this was unconscionable for a shipment from Cal to AZ.
I got on the phone to Nat'l Parts Depot, also in CA, ordered the same pieces and was quoted $8.37 shipping . The pieces have been here for 2 days.

OPG is way out of line on there shipping. They get discounts from the shipping companies because of there volume but if they keep this up, there won't be any volume at all.

I would not try use there or should I say lack of customer service. They don't care about anything.

I had the same type of problem with The Paddock. I spent over $200 on an order for a total weight of 8 lbs in the box and they raped me for $34 and change. Last time I will order with them. I called and complained about the price of shipping and they said it was based on the amount of purchase, not the actual weight of the items as they could not be able to get an accurate weight due to multiple pieces. A guestimation of weight would have done nicely.

The best one was I ordered a set of body mount bushings. They put the original box inside another box added some paper and charged me $2.10 for special packaging. I guess they were a delicate.
