Is any of what he's saying true? Would these really work?

The only thing they do is allow the suspension to droop farther before hitting the upper bumpstop.

They do not help your geometry in any way, but they will effectively make your upper control arm slightly LONGER which is the opposite of what you want to get a decent ammount of static negative camber.

Derek, Won't these have the same affect as tail spindles or tall ball joints?

No, the effective spindle height (pivot to pivot) is still the same.

All these do is change the "shape" of the upper link (A-arm). The pivot points are unchanged, with the exception that the upper arm gets slightly longer (measured from the ball-joint to the bushings).

Thanks, I understand what you're saying, guess I didn't think about enough before.

I think they are used to keep your ball joints from being at a severe angle when you have the front high in the air. That's why I just ordered a set this morning. I'll be ordering my high lift springs next.
I love the gasser style. That's the way I'm building my El Camino.--Josh

There was a product out there that did make an improvement, but what it did was extend the height of the spindle.

Apparently all these do is allow the nose of the car to rise higher. Maybe that could help with weight transfer?

I got my spacers from the UPs dude a couple of days ago. THey are great quality. I can't wait to install em and my high lift front springs. Later--Josh
