Could someone please tell me the correct way to solder the ends on battery cables? I've tried a soldering gun,a torch and i just can't get the cable to stick in the ends. What's the correct way?Is there a special solder to use?

Heat the terminal, fill it with solder, flux cable end and insert into terminal, allow to cool.

At yor local auto parts store you can get batery ends with the solder already in them. Then all you have to do is heat the end up with a tourch and stick the wire in.
