My bro in law just picked up a 68 with manual steering. He wants to convert to power steering. Can anyone recommend a complete kit or the easiest way to convert to power steering. Car has 1 3/4" headers, and a weiand manifold. Other than that it's stock. The kit from ground up did not work at all with the headers, we sent it back. Thanks, Moose

I converted my -69 by buying a complete setup off another -69 and got pretty much everything I needed for a sure-fit installation. IMO, it's the best way to go. Only problem is to find a complete setup like that, and finding that last missing bracket or pulley can be very frustrating. I would definitely be willing to pay a bit more for a complete set, rather than piecing it together myself.

The original brackets will work with headers, if you put a spacer (like a piece of tubing) on the bolt that attaches to the header.

I'm sure there are aftermarket kits you can buy, but I have heard a lot of horror stories about the fit.
