Has anyone media blasted a whole car at home before? Anything to consider? What did you use for a blaster?

I heard the new K-2 media is good for removing paint but won't work on rust. Where would you buy this stuff at locally?

I hope you have alot of time on your hands and a very big compressor. Air Supply is usually the biggest problem. It takes alot of air to blast.

You can do it with your normal 80gal 5hp 15cfm home compressor, but it's like painting a car with an airbrush. It might not be that bad if you blast all the hard to reach areas then sand all of the large spots.

Also you want to do it in a proper enviroment. Media will go everywhere. And you need a fresh air supply to breath.

Maybe some people have had better luck.
