one word, cog-belt-system. it's actually more than one word. before you click off, I got one for cheaper than any other aftermarket and less than what I spend on several oem bracket/pulleys. I found this guy on ebay, but did business outside them. I don't know if he's still on ebay, but he used to sell cog-belt pulley kits for sbc for under $200. My belt-eater was actually a pontiac engine, so I called him and he modified a crank pulley to fit pontiac, and alternator pulley, water pump pulley, and custom made a pulley for my moroso elec water pump drive w/belts for a few hundred bucks. he does 1" and 2" kits, not out of the park pricing for what you get. I will never throw another belt again! only one suggestion -use a heim joint to mount/tension the alternator. one of the reasons I was throwing belts was when I gassed the engine, the crank was pulling so hard on the alternatorit was slacking up the tension and bending the alternator brackets. with a heim joint, the alternator cant slacken. here's the shop's info, and if I can find a picture, I will post it here.

well, I can't see how do add a picture, the rules at the bottom of my screen say I may not post attachments. If someone can tell me how, I'll try to post a pic if someone wants it.
