I am going to replace the cam in my current 350. The engine has maybe 3k on it. My question is, can i get away with just replacing the cam and lifters?, or do i need to replace the cam bearings as well? The motor ran fine, there were no problems with it. Thanks Josh

No, cam bearings see very little wear, unless you have an oiling issue.

Nope, just put a new cam and lifters in the shop truck this weekend. It was also a low mile 350, cam just went flat. 7 hour piece of cake.

I have [ut cams in mild small blocks that had 70K on them with no issues at all.

Cam bearings should be fine, unless the engine is totally trashed. Besides you cannot successfully install new cam bearings unless the engine is out of the car and completely disassembled. Oil holes in the bearings must be visually aligned with the oil holes in the block.
