I have a 71 Chevelle and I want to remove the rear seat to place new jute and panel. I don't know how to do this? I cannot seem to find ANYWHERE a diagram or instructions how to do this. Any help is appreciated.

If its anything like a 64 or a 69 I ve got both what you need to do is on the bottom section its held in by a c-brace on each side in the front. What you need to do is push the lower seat section towards the trunk and pull up. Sometimes its kind of wedged in there so you might need to give it a good shove. Once you pull it up and out the rear back section is held in by screws or bolts at the bottom of the cushion remove those and it should come up and out.

Once you get the seat out= Two clips on the floor the lower seat frame pops into. feel under the seat there's one on each side about 10" in from each side once you find them try pushing the seat in that area. Or use a large screwdriver to pry it out BUT BE CAREFUL You don't want to damage the seat. Once you do this lift the lower seat up an out. Now there is 2 screws holding the bottom of the back rest in. Remove them an lift the back rest straight up an out. The jute edge is sometimes glued down carefully pull up the edge an it should slide out. Carefully lift the sides
