: Transgo shift kit confusion

I've read all of the threads in regards to the transgo shift kit. Now, I'm confused on which one to buy. I have a TH400 and want to eliminate the automatic shift that the TH400 has. I want to be able to hold it in first and then shift when I want but when the car is in "D" I want the automatic shifts. What kit should I buy. Summitracing.com has two transgo kits. Should I buy the TRG-400 from summit? Will this give me the option that I want or should I buy the Transgo 1&2 kit? I'm confused by all of this.

You want a Transgo Reprogramming kit 1&2.

Go to www.bulkpart.com and save some money...

Does the same apply for a B&M shift kit? I'm looking for the same....in D normal shifts.....but be able to hold the car in gear on the 1 and 2 shifts.

It has been discussed here before, go for the TransGo Reprogramming Kit 1&2. It's better than the B&M Kits. Soft shift's while cruising, and hard, positive shifts at WOT. With B&M the tranny shifts hard all the time (harder on parts).

I love my Transgo TH350 Kit! :)

Yes I know everyone here loves Trans Go's and hates B&M's.....I just couldn't see myself spending $70 on a shift kit for an old tranny that's probably be upgraded to a TH400 as soon as one becomes avaliable. :)
