I got the Goodmark front fenders in today and they FIT LIKE A GLOVE! If you read my prevoius posts, the NPD fenders didn't fit at all, the shape, length and height were all screwy. I also had the shims from both fenders on one fender just to get it close to fitting BUT with the Goodmark I only had to use a couple of shims.
BTW, I fired up the 502 last night and it started first time, the MAP sensor was bad so it wouldnt idle, I did have a spare and it ran like a jewel, now I wish the rest was done so I can drive it!

406 - No refund, I painted the inside of the fenders prior to fitting them, my mistake. I'm new to body work so I've taken the hard way on just about everything I've done on the body work!
If anyone wants 2 front 70 fenders for $99 each let me know.

70Chevelle, I went to your site and saw where you installed a partial quarter. Do you think using a Goodmark partial would have worked. Being new to body work I am afraid of the full quarter. Any experience or convincing me on the full vs partial is appreciated. Glad to here it worked out for you. Thanks

Chris - It was my experiance that the full qtr was FAR easier to do then the partial. There was a number of reasons but here are the two main ones:
1) All welds other than the sail panel was hidden and far more forgiving to bad welding technics
2) It takes care of all rusted areas and the fit is great.
I removed and installed the new full qtr in just a few days of work, the other side that I did a partial on took a few weeks and is still not perfect, I'm waiting for the primer to show me how bad a job I really did. GO FULL QUARTER! I actually saved money by going a full qtr in time and supplies.

Chris, I would highly recommend the Goodmark full quarter. They fit great and the ones Ive installed all of them have been close to the same gauge of metal as the originals. The full quarters are a bit higher in price but while worth the extra money. First they will be easier to install and secondly produce a better end result.
Since you are new body work and probably welding, trying to weld that seem shut on the partial quarters would be tough. As the full quarters you are just making spot welds no continous welds like the partial quarter.
Removing the quarter is cake, just pay attention to how it was put together and always looking for that hidden spot weld. If all you have to do is replace the quarter no other repairs you should be able to have that new quarter hung in a days time...Eric
