I'm trying to decide on which tire to go with. The size is 295/60-15. I want to go with a street drag radial. Just wondering who's had the best luck with what. Thanks

I havn't taken it to the track, but the Mickey Thompson Drag Radials are one heck of a tire. After I put the new motor in, it would break away the regular BFG's at any speed in any gear if the secondaries were open. The M/T's hold it great.

Prepare to do some trimming with the 295/65/15, it is one big tire!! My car sits fairly low in back, had to trim the inner wheel well lip at the rear and top.

Were those bfg drag radials or just regular tread?

Ya I know there will be some work especially since I put the moroso drag spring and shocks. I bet It got lowered about 1 1/2" from where it was before. I think the ssm bars did that alittle too.

i was able to run 295 bfg's d/r's on the back of my 71 w/ 1" lowering springs w/o any cutting-i used a 10" rim with 5.5 b/s
m/t d/r's werent out yet- i was still able to grab some 1.40 60' times, and it wasnt too bad on the street
i had to trim the outer lip a little, but you couldnt tell

Depending on your back spacing, you could do 295/50-15 which is the same width but shorter with no mods. The E.T. radial's are a grabbing tire. On my truck, they out did the regular E.T. streets.

They were regular treaded, not the drag radials. But, I was talking with a guy at a local speed shop where I got the M/T's from, and he said that the M/T's were much better then the BFG's. He wasn't trying to sell me anything either as the M/T's were cheaper. FWIW.

I was looking through summit and was wondering what is the difference between the m/t ET streets and the ET street radials?

The ET street's are a bias ply tire not a radial

So is this the verdict? Are the m/t et street radials the best ones out there. Just wondering if there are any others that people have tried.
