Hello every one, being reading hear for a while just never posted..
but anyway, I have a 70 chevelle, currently has a 327 in but a 454 is underconstruction. I have an odd ball question, a previous owner had removed the the throttle cable and peddle and replaced it with a linkage style (looks the same as the linkage n my 67 camaro) ntrying to convert back to a cable, I have a new gm cable and the proper peddle, and brackets. the question is how does the cable attach to the peddle? there is a plastic piece on the cable that looks like it should snap in to the whole in the lever but there is no way to get it and the cable thru the hole. I may be over thinling this or missing a part, any help would be greatly appreciated pictures would be great thanks in advance

The round plastic grommet should have a slit or cut in it. Put the throttle cable end thru the hole in the pedal lever then slip the grommet on to the cable using the slit. Once that is done you can push the grommet and cable into the pedal hole and the install is complete. Hope this helps.
