I have a Flaming River column to put in my car but I want to cut the shaft I have before I pull my old column.

Any one have one around that could measure it from where it meets the steering box to the splined shaft and threads where the wheel bolts on.

Thanks,
Rob

Rob,
A tilt column with splined coupler measures 50" from the top of the threaded end to the base of the coupler (rag joint mounting surface) . 49 1/4" to the end of the splined shaft (coupler removed)

A non tilt column wth a fixed coupler measures 50 1/2" from top of threads to the coupler base.

Don't know if it helps or you care, but I think that '67 columns are about an inch longer, at least the tilt.

hope that helps,
