What is the best product for removing Vinyl Top glue?
Also can the trim holes be sealed up by another means other than welding?

Try acetone. But wear rubber gloves.

I used laquer thinner and a red scotch bright pad to get the primer off.

I used MEK. Careful though, it's about the nastiest chemical that you can come across. Wear some high quality rubber (not latex) gloves and be sure to have plenty of ventilation.

I used lead on some of my trim holes. I chamfered the holes a little with a drill bit first. I got my leading supplies from Eastwood.
