View Full Version : Valve Cover Clips??

I am trying to figure out the best way to run the sending unit wire for the tempature gauge from the front of my manifold back to the firewall. Does anyone make some kind of clip that attachs to the valve cover that will hold the wire? I just did not want to leave that wire laying there, looks messy and at some point it might interfere with the throttle linkage.

Any help on this would be great.

Thanks.

A trip to the junkyard, and scrounging some late 70's & 80's GM products will get you a pocketful of little clips, doo-dads, and clamps. Just clean 'em up and paint the brackets orange.

If you have a Lowe's near you, go to the area where the have all of the fasteners and such. I found a really nice assortment of stainless clips w/rubber bonded to the loop area. They come in alot of different sizes, and the hole is just the right size for the valve cover bolt to fit through. I ran my wire up through the first loop between 1 and 3 cylinder, back through a second loop between 5 and 7, then back through the firewall. If you can't find them, I can probably get the UPC code from one of the little plastic baggie they come in, and you can give it to them to find for you.

Hope this helps. It's one alternative.
