I just got a used fan shroud for my 68. The thing is kind of dirty. I had two options in mind:
1)Should i clean it as good as i can and install it with the original plastic finish.(Thought of using simple green, will it hurt plastics?)

2)Clean it, then paint it black

My main concerns are i don't know if the simple green will effect the look of the plastic, and if i do paint it...what will painted plastic look like? How would i prep it?

Don't paint it, it will not look right, Simple Green and a scrub brush is all that you need, it will not affect the finish.
