I know this is another one wire alt ques. but I'm confused, they say to have the alt gauge idiot light wired to new alt cause you need the resistance for it to work, right? well that bulb is on as soon as I turn the battery switch on with ign off, is this right? what if I wouldn't have the cut off switch for the battery, did I miss something? or is this the way it should be, I know not everyone with the one wire conversions has a cut off for there battery, there battery would go dead.

Fred we removed the external regulator instead of bypassing it,it looks alot cleaner, according to the tech page on one wire alt. conversions, they said you need the wire that goes to the gen.light for it to work,we wired the heavy wire from the batt and the alt. light wire to the alternator( two wires) or where should the alt. light wire go?
