: PST poly body mount kit

I bought a PST polygraphite body mount kit. The problem is the kit doesn’t include the metal inserts. PST said I could return the kit, but before I do does anyone know of someone that sells the inserts alone? The PST rep thought there was a company in Arizona, but he couldn’t remember the name. I wasn’t very happy that PST marketed the bushing without a source for the inserts.

Do the stiffer poly bushings even need an insert?

Has anyone install the poly mounts? Were they worth it?

I installed these during my resto and I had the same issue. I purchased another set of rubber bushings with inserts from Ground Up I think, and used the inserts for the polygraphite.

I recently finished my resto a month or so ago, and I have driven the car about 30 miles since then, 25 of them last weekend. I like the way it rides with the PST set, it is definetelly stiffer that what it used to be.
Hope this helps.

mike69ss;

We also used the PST Poly body mount set. It shows in our catalog that you must reuse your inserts.

Our inserts were in reasonably good shape, so we beadblasted them and coated them with POR15 Silver.

"PERFECTO"

If yours are not restorable, surely someone on this site will know where to get them.

Check with your local Chevy dealer. You'd be surprised the stuff they can still get. Pete
