I have the entire front end of the car off at the present time and was wondering if I could replace only the front body bushings at this time without having to remove any of the other ones. Due to my limited space, I am trying to concentrate on one end of the car at a time. The rear end of the car is a can of worms that I don't want to open up just yet unless I have to http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif. Thanks in advance, Deejay

You could just take the bolts out and jack the cowl area up far enough to remove and repalce the mounts forward of the rear wheel openings, and do the rears later. Most of my car has been done in stages! I got the whole kit from our sponsor, Ground Up for around $100, including the radiator support bushings. Buy the whole thing, then you have it for later.

Thanks Dave. That is what I was hoping to hear http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif.The one other thing I need to know is should the body be lifted with a support under the rocker panel lip and/or somewhere else? I printed all this info out late last winter (for future reference) when yanniz was asking the same questions, but of course I lost it! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif Thanks again, Dennis

I used a couple of pieces of 2X6 about a foot long on top of the jack and jackstands, and lifted the body by the floorpan. Left no marks.
