: How do I make this gap go away?

Im finally getting close to having the 70 back on the road, but I noticed a problem the other day. On the passenger side, there is a 2 inch gap between the two windows. I made sure both windows were all the way up. That door is off another car, and the gap wasnt there before the door and quarter panel were replaced. Both windows have been out, if it makes a difference.

So what gives? Is there some kind of forward and back adjust to the windows? Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance guys.

It sounds like the glass needs to be ajustedYou may only need to bring the door glass back.
Unbolt the nuts and slide the glass back then try it, but make sure you dont get too much gap up front, and make sure the 1/4 glass is rolled all the way up.
Good luck!

you might already know this but there is a rubber/trim part between the windows. It attaches to the rear one.

Yeah, the seal is still there, I hope its just the glass needs to be adjusted.

JSL, are you saying the door window is adjustable or the rear?

Thanks for the input!

The door glass will adjust forward and back but if it's off that much, the door shouldn't even close! It would be hitting the front pillar.

Just be sure your door is adjusted correctly first. Then try adjusting the glass.

Sounds a bit strange to me. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/confused.gif

Good luck,

The door is adjusted right, I had a bodyman friend over this past weekend helping me get the doors, fenders, etc lined up.

I exagerated a little...Actually, ALOT! I went out and measured, at the bottom of the window its about a half inch gap, and at the top of the window its three quarters. It looks like you guys are right, I just need to adjust the glass.

Thanks guys!
