: T.P Tools ,Showtime T.P-90 Paint Sprayer. ?
fatlip Jul 6th, 03, 11:39 AM I was looking at this sprayer and wondering if anybody knows anything about how well it works.
It comes with a cup gun or you can get a 20 oz Gravity fed gun for 30.00 more.
My compressor is to small to shoot cars, without a special paint gun and then I have my doubts if it will do a good job.
Also was looking at the respirator at the bottom of that same page. Do you think its safe to use,I don't want to get messed up here trying to do my own work. I know I cant use Di-ISOCYANATES with this mask. Do many paints have this in them.

Thanks on any INFO.
fatlip Jul 7th, 03, 5:28 PM Anybody have or used one of these paint sprayers?
sevt_chevelle Jul 8th, 03, 12:00 AM Never used a turbine sprayer nor know of anyone that has, all thou they do sound like a good idea. The mask without seeing it, if its a half mask with vapor cart's you will be fine agaisnt ISO's. If you havent read the topic its JUST YOUR HEALTH you should read it and read it very carefully as its full of info on paint masks and how to care for them. There should even be some 3M part numbers for the paints masks we use at the shop til the new fresh air unit shows up.
Those masks we get from 3M are 20 bucks, am betting the mask that TP is selling is more then that! All paints do have ISO's in them execpt some and they should say on the label ISO free I know PPG is like that not sure about others...Eric

fatlip Jul 8th, 03, 7:02 PM Thanks Sevt_Chevelle,the mask they are selling is 39 bucks, its a Blinks brand. It uses organic vapor cartridges and pre-filters if that helps any. The sprayer is selling for 599.00. I hope someone replies on whether its a good sprayer. Would like to get it if it does a nice job.

sevt_chevelle Jul 14th, 03, 7:37 PM Fatlip, try asking on this other board
http://www.autobodystore.com
I visit that site from time to time and that place has some great knowledge floating around.
Hell just buy the thing then tell us how it works :D
fatlip Jul 15th, 03, 9:35 PM This is the answer I got on another sight. Thanks, sevt-chevelle on the site tip, glad I dident waste my money.
Don't waste your money. I just threw the one I bought 5 years ago in the garbage. I bought it for home, seemed like a good idea at the time. I was in the middle of spraying an Acura I fixed and it was doing such a poor job I switched back to my old conventional siphion feed to finish the job. The two stage turbine just does not have enough power to supply the air needed to atomize the paint. Since I already had the unit I ordered a Smaller needle and nozzle set to see if it would help. No luck. If you are going to spend the money you need to get a three or four stage unit. At that point you might as well by a Compressor.
Thanks for all the Info,
sevt_chevelle Jul 15th, 03, 10:56 PM Rick I just come from that site and read the responses you got. Len the owner of the site also said you would be wasting the cash as you really need to step up to the 4 turbine unit and by that time you might as well buy a new compressor.
