i'm having a problem mounting the dome lamp bezel.the dome lamp was hanging down when i bought the car. it has two screw holes about 2" apart on an inch wide main roof bar,but the bezel has 4 holes for mounting.I was wondering if i'm missing a mounting bracket,that screws into the 2 holes then you mount the bezel...boy it's hell when your not the one taking things apart!!!! any help would be deeply appreciated , thanks..... sasquatch

I know exactly what you are talking about because I'm running into the same problem on my 70.

The dome light is screwed to the ceiling brace with two screws diagonally across from each other. The light has 4 holes and you may be using the wrong two holes. Try to shine a small flash light thru the hole in the headliner and look for the factory screw holes. It can be a little frustrating trying to fine the first screw hole, but once you found it the second one is easy.

hey bill.i appreciate the info. i was wondering if it is possible if you can send me a picture of your dome lamp/headliner,so i can see where the dome lamp bezel is,in relation to the seam in the headlner.this i think woud give me a good idea where the mounting screws would be.thanks again. sasquach
